Welcome to The Center for Practical Living!

The Center for Practical Living (CPL) is a day array program serving the needs of adults with Developmental Disabilities and is located in Mt. Healthy, Ohio. The CPL is open to all waiver (I/O waiver and Level 1) funded Individuals receiving services through Hamilton County Developmental Disability Services (HCDDS), as well as private pay adult Individuals.

The CPL has over 5,500 square feet of accessible space. It is conveniently located in the heart of Mt.Healthy, close to grocery stores, pharmacies, libraries, parks and many community opportunities. We are on a bus line, but transportation is provided for the Center.

The CPL is contracted with DODD has served Individuals from the Greater Hamilton County area since 2009.

Leisure & Entertainment Activites

We offer a wide variety of both leisure and recreational activites, as well as the opportunity to develop independent living skills

Our leisure activities include: daily craft projects, puzzles, board games, movies, music and line dancing.

Recreational activites include: Volunteering at Matthhew:25 Ministries, monthly field trips and scheduled outings.

Independent living skills include: laundry, ironing, preparing shopping lists and preparation of healthy meals.
